Molecular Devices Workshop
Presenter: Dr Guillaume Frugier, Application Scientist, Molecular Devices
MetaXpress applications modules and PowerCore distributed image analysis software.
MetaXpress® offers pre-packaged image analysis application modules to help both novice and expert users to set up hundreds of assays.
We will use images from a cell tox study to demonstrate the setup of the Micronuclei Application Module for the detection of micronuclei, mono-nucleated cells, and poly-nucleated cells.
The module is then executed on the image set using MetaXpress® PowerCore™ which offers distributed analysis functionalities.
Data evaluation and hit selection with AcuityXpress software.
AcuityXpress is an easy-to-use cellular informatics tool for mining of large and multi-parametric data sets. It is seamlessly integrated in the HCS workflow.
We will use the measurement results of the previously analyzed micronuclei assay images to demonstrate the use of AcuityXpress to add plate annotations, do data normalizations, and use a variety of statistical tools for data mining and hit selection. We will also see how additional non-image-based data (for example from a reader) can be added.
